2016 was a rough year so I was happy that on my birthday (way back in December now) I was spoiled rotten by my family members.

I got a trip to London, a trip to the theatre, and some fashion and beauty goodies I wasn't going to say no to - well, a girl's gotta do all she can when the mid-twenties approach!

My fella got me a Glossybox subscription and some London-exclusive Lush products and my sister treated me to some Kylie Cosmetic goodies that, admittedly, I'd been dying to try.

I'll start with, in short, I loved everything I received, not just because they were really thoughtful pressies, but because they are really good products.

Kylie Birthday Edition Creme Shadow: Copper & Rose Gold

My sister was a babe and had been holding on to this special birthday piece just for me. This eye shadow creme has a long lasting finish, a beautiful rich colour and gorgeous metallic hues. It can transform and eye look in an instant. I've been using it as a power look on the lid or to tone it down and keep a zingy vixen look, I've favoured a smudged line of it across the lower lid - it really transformed my NYE look.

Kylie Cosmetic Mary Jo K Matte Lip Kit

Big sis knows me too well when she went for this STUNNING true red matte lipstick. I'd never really tried liquid lipstick, so was nervous, but this bad boy just glided on so well, that it glided right into my hand bag to! It's become such a favourite of mine for when I work or for nights out - as they say, a red lip never dates and this lipstick is so versatile, easy to use and ridiculously long lasting - with no fade! I literally only had to apply it once on a night out after some shots. It has a gorgeous high intensity pigment and leaves a silky feel to my lips - as to not dry them out - the lip liner, equally glides on smoothly and lasts all day!
I'm not sure I can actually stop going on about this lip kit, and though I may not be a Kardashian/Jenner fan, the girl promotes some good lipstick!

Kylie Cosmetic Dolce K Matte Liquid Lipstick

On days off when I'm out shopping or going for a coffee, I favour a nude lip - but nothing is worse then having to reapply the blighter all the time. I didn't have this problem once with this liquid lipstick.
Kylie's Dolce K is a deep beige nude and gives a bold nude lip that really does last all day. Like Mary Jo K it's a highly pigmented colour and I've been mixing it up with some pink lip liners to give a new and different look to wear.

I've definitely been converted to a Kylie fan and can't wait to get my hands on my next colour!

Ben Nye Luxury Banana Powder

I'm ashamed to say I hadn't even heard of this when I opened my gift, but this silky feeling, matte-finish beauty has transformed my make-up routine! It's perfect for setting makeup, highlighting or colour correcting surface redness of the skin. Banana powder is so versatile it's become a must-have in my make-up bag. The micro-fine powder is translucent with just a hint of colour so suits me when I'm dressed up to the nines or just having a casual day - I love it!

I was lucky enough to pick up some Lush products that were exclusive to Oxford Street and who doesn't have a great time with Lush?!

I know, I know this blog feels like it should've been posted ages ago, but I'm still loving my lip kits - I must admit, they are really good, even if I don't like the Jenner/Kardashian clan much - and I really wanted to rave about them!

That's me for now, I'll be posting  Glossybox review soon!
