With the sudden change in weather I decided to have a wee change in foundation, this is because my skin is sensitive and doesn't like the sudden change of the summer "sun" (in quotes as we get about ten minutes of sun in summer in Cumbria!) to the bitter winds of winter (no typical autumn up here!). But I couldn't stop at foundation, I also went and repurchased one of my favey primers and had a cheeky wee nail polish purchase whilst I was shopping, all from Maybelline, leading to a new mini haul!

Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation

I decided I wanted something that would have full coverage, but not be harsh on my skin; that's when, during my searching up the drugstore isle's I came across Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation. It boasts full coverage and to improve the overall look of skin and also boasts to reduce the appearance of the visible effects of stress including bumps, dullness and redness, all whilst last all day into the evening.

Did it live to it's boasting?

Well it had great coverage, reducing the places of uneven skin tone giving a healthy glow which I so desire in the dull days of winter. I'm not sure if it lasts all day through to a night out, however it did last an an eight hour day at work, including the hours before, when applied and after for the journey home etc. So I was pretty darn happy with the effects. It's a silky liquid foundation that's easy to apply; I used my stippling foundation brush, and blends well with my skin tone.

Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser

You can have a good foundation coverage without a good base; in fact I dread to think of the days before I discovered skin primers and what my coverage must've looked like! Well I discovered Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser, back when it came out in summer, and was incredibly impressed with the airbrushed look it gives your skin!

Enriched with cherry extract it boasts to make skin feel smoother, softer and appear more refined; whilst wearing with make-up it makes foundation glide on seamlessly, giving you poreless looking skin.

Did it live to it's boasting?

Like I said, I was really impressed with the airbrushed look it gives my skin and I've certainly noticed the difference with my foundation coverage and lasting-effects since using it. Since I already have, I can certainly say this will be a repurchase.

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish: Cool Touch

If you know me you know I'm a sucker for a new nail varnish, so whilst looking for a lighter shade to brighten up my autumn I stumbled upon this little gem. It boast a cool crisp colour, with runway and catwalk quality and lasting power.

Did it live to it's boasting?

I've been quite impressed with this, the colour is pale, but you can tell it's a bright grey with natural gloss shine. I'm not sure on it's lasting power on it's own, as I always apply a good lasting top coat, but it's not chipped or pealed and has weathered through the wash and work. It's also easy to apply with it's wide brush, and two coast will give you a great coverage. So it's a keeper in my books!

What did you think of my mini haul? Have you tried any of these products? What did you think? Any you could recommend for me this AW/14?
